FAG spindle bearings are super precision, single row angular contact ball bearings. Due to their very narrow tolerances, these bearings are particularly suitable for applications involving the highest requirements for guidance accuracy, such as bearing arrangements for main spindles in machine tools.
The bearings are available in all the designs that are relevant to bearing arrangements for main spindles in machine tools. Spindle bearings of universal design can be fitted in any arrangement or combined in various sets without any loss of performance. The bearings are available with steel or ceramic balls, bearing rings made from standard rolling bearing or high-performance steel, open or sealed and in Direct Lube design.
For example, high speed spindle bearings have smaller steel or ceramic balls and are fitted with gap seals.
Direct Lube bearings are designed for extremely high speeds. They are used where pneumatic oil lubrication is necessary and a reliable supply of lubricant must be ensured.
