There are several key points when selecting a crossed roller bearing: first, determining the operating conditions; second, selecting the type; third, determining the rotational torque; and fourth, lubrication. Once the appropriate crossed roller bearing is selected, installation is required. Detailed installation steps are as follows.
First, inspect the pre-installed components. Thoroughly clean the brackets and other mounting components to check for burrs or edges. The second step is to insert the crossed roller bearing into the bracket or shaft. Since crossed roller bearings are thin-walled bearings, they are prone to tilting during insertion. To prevent this, keep the bearing level during installation. Use a plastic hammer to tap evenly, gradually inserting it through the roller bearing insert or shaft bracket until you hear the sound and it is completely aligned with the reference.

The third step is to install the fixing flange. First, place the fixing flange on the crossed roller bearing and move it several times to align the bolt holes. Then, insert the fixing bolts into the holes and turn them by hand, ensuring that there are no difficult-to-tighten bolts when the bolts are extended. Finally, tighten the fixing bolts. Tighten them in three or four stages, from partially tightened to fully tightened. Repeat the tightening in a diagonal sequence. When tightening, separate the inner and outer rings into sections and rotate them slightly to correct any misalignment between the inner and outer rings and the main body.
