Recently, Schaeffler Group held the 2024 Global Supplier Conference in Herzogenaurach, Germany, with about 450 supplier representatives and guests attending the meeting.
At the meeting, George F.W. Schaeffler, family shareholder and chairman of the Supervisory Board of Schaeffler Group, and CEO Klaus Rosenfeld presented the Excellent Supplier Award to outstanding suppliers. 23 suppliers from around the world won the annual awards in the five categories of innovation, sustainable development, value creation, quality and supply chain.
The digital transformation of the supply chain remains an important topic of this year's Schaeffler Supplier Conference.

The importance of digitalization to Schaeffler Group is fully reflected in the establishment of the "Innovation" award of this supplier award. This award is given to suppliers who integrate generative artificial intelligence assistants into production equipment;
The "Sustainability" award is intended to recognize suppliers who help Schaeffler achieve its climate neutrality goals by increasing the use of green electricity and recycling rates, or the efficient use of raw materials;
The "Supply Chain" award is awarded to suppliers with high delivery reliability and high resilience in the supply chain;
The "Quality" award is intended to recognize suppliers with excellent performance in products and manufacturing; and the "Value Creation" award is intended to recognize suppliers who play an important role in enhancing Schaeffler's global competitiveness as a technology company focused on drive technology.
