In the installation process of angular contact ball bearings, if the installation method or method is improper, it will cause the bearing to have linear scratches on the raceway surface and rolling surface of the bearing during installation and disassembly. The cause of the damage is mainly due to the bearing's inner and outer rings being tilted during installation and disassembly, or the impact load during installation and disassembly. As a result, the bearing is scratched. Therefore, in order to avoid bearing scars, in addition to the use of appropriate tools during the installation or disassembly process, the use of a punch to prevent the impact load of the diagonal contact ball bearings, but also pay attention to the mutual centering during installation. When the angular contact ball bearing is installed and mounted to the outer casing, there is a lot of fit clearance, and the outer ring has an interference amount, which is usually pressed by a press or a cold shrink fit method after cooling. When dry ice is used as the coolant and the shrinkage is installed, the moisture in the air will condense on the surface of the bearing. Therefore, appropriate rust prevention measures are required. Whether the bearing is installed correctly affects accuracy, life and performance. Therefore, the design and assembly department should fully study the installation of the bearings, so it must be installed according to the operating standards:
1. The preparation of the bearing
Since the bearings are rust-proofed and packaged, do not open the package until installation.
In addition, the anti-rust oil coated on the bearing has good lubricating properties, and can be used directly for the purpose of the angular contact ball bearing or the grease-filled bearing for general use. However, for instrument bearings or bearings for high-speed rotation, the cleaning oil should be washed with a clean cleaning oil. The bearing is prone to rust and cannot be placed for a long time.
2. Shaft and shell inspection
Clean the bearing and the casing to confirm the burrs left by scratches or machining. There must be no abrasive (SiC, Al2O3, etc.) sand or chips in the outer casing.
Secondly, check whether the size, shape and processing quality of the shaft and the casing are in accordance with the drawings.
Before installing the bearing, apply mechanical oil to each mating surface of the tested shaft and the outer casing.
The items of the job standard are usually as follows:
(1) Cleaning bearings and bearing related components.
(2) Check the size and finishing of the connected parts.
(3) Installation.
(4) Check after installing the bearing.
(5) Supply lubricant.
Due to the bearing structure, fit, and conditions, as the shaft rotates, the inner ring needs an interference fit. Cylindrical bore bearings, press with multiple presses, or use hot charging methods. For taper holes, mount directly on the taper shaft or with a sleeve.
The grease is lubricated without cleaning and is directly filled with grease. The lubricating oil is lubricated and does not need to be cleaned normally. However, the angular contact ball bearings for instruments or high-speed use should be cleaned with clean oil to remove the rust inhibitor applied to the bearings. The bearing with the rust preventive removed is easy to rust, so it cannot be placed. Furthermore, bearings that have been sealed with grease are used without cleaning.
