Promoting health management through mental health measures and joint seminars with client companies
 

NTN Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "NTN") has been recognized as a particularly excellent health management practice company by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan and the Japan Health Council as one of the top 500 corporations "Conscience 500" in the "Healthy Management Excellent Corporation 2025 Large-Scale Corporation Sector". This is the fifth consecutive year that NTN has received this certification.
 

NTN has always believed that the health of employees and their families is the foundation for the company's continued growth. Together with management, employees, labor unions, and health insurance groups, it is committed to various measures such as workplace health construction, mental health construction, and physical health construction. In addition, in order to realize the sustainable "NAMERAKA society" that the company pursues, as a leading company in promoting health management, the company is not only committed to its own efforts, but also to promoting the popularization of health management in client companies.

NTN's health management initiatives

1.Mental health development

At NTN, in addition to stress checks, all employees have an interview with an industry consultant every year to prevent mental health problems. Through mental health training at the time of joining and promotion, and the establishment of a consultation room, the proportion of high-stress people has been kept below the national standard of 10%. In addition, in order to promote first-line care*, first-line care training will be held every year for all managers, including domestic affiliates, starting in 2021.

*First-line care: A mental health countermeasure that supports the mental health of subordinates with superiors or management supervisors in the workplace as the main body.


2.Physical health development

The company encourages internal sports club activities and has been recognized as a "sports support company" by the Japan Sports Agency for six consecutive years as a company that actively supports employee sports activities. In addition, as a measure to deal with passive smoking, the company also actively implements the subsidy of part of the cost of smoking cessation auxiliary drugs to smokers who challenge to quit smoking, and carries out smoking cessation promotion activities such as NTN All Employees Quit Smoking Day.

3.Activities to popularize healthy management in customer companies
 

Through joint seminars for employees of customer companies and our own employees, we are committed to popularizing healthy management. In addition, a "remote disaster prevention seminar" was held to allow employees to learn about preparation measures for natural disasters such as typhoons and heavy rains, as well as first aid (CPR, AED) knowledge and skills when injured, and BCP strategies.

1.Health examination and self-management

NTN strengthens regular health examinations for employees in China to help individuals understand physical indicators in a timely manner, discover potential diseases, and intervene in health risks in a timely manner.

2.Promote a healthy lifestyle

Equipped with gyms and fitness equipment, employees are encouraged to exercise during work breaks. Organize sports games, badminton clubs, etc., emphasize teamwork and competitive spirit, and encourage everyone to maintain physical and mental health.

3.Mental health support

NTN China's subsidiaries/branches have set up psychological counseling windows to help employees relieve work pressure and improve psychological resilience. At the same time, personal information is strictly kept confidential, and workplace violence and sexual harassment are strictly prevented and controlled.
